2-7 Draw for awesome cards!
Posted by Jigger Jones from Haverhill, Ma on Mar 09, 2009 at 4:48am (CDT)
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention how 80% of my hole cards were a 7 or under. I decided that I might be better at the 2-7 Draw game, where everything is in reverse. The worst hand is actually the best in 2-7. What do I get in my first three hands? 1. A-A 2. Q-9 with both pairing up on the board. 3. J-J. I emailed support and told them about this and they accused me of going off on a tilt because I lost. NOTE: I tried using my charge card to put ten bucks on the site to gather more specific info. The card was refused. Guess they read these posts. Hell, they probably own this site.
the site is horrible

Ive been playing on poker stars for a while now and Im finished with them. The kicker was losing my pocket aces to 97 offsuit. The flop came out k 4 6 offsuit i went all in and was called.what came out on the turn and river? two 9s ofcourse. This is one of 100s of fishy playing ive seen. I dont know how they do it but I would like to find out how we can get this site investigated.Im tired of poker stars stealing from people and not being accountable.

Too many times to be coincedence

What I love is when one of pokerstar's shills decides to go all in when the game is ten places out from the money or the winning satellite seat. I am given pock aces and another on the flop to ensure I go all in with the shill. The shill has something like a J-2 of diamonds to suckout a (gauranteed) flush. This hasn't happened a couple of times. It hasn't happened frequently. It happens EVERY time!

First I want you to know I am not a novice or "Donkey" when it comes to playing Poker. I am a WPT Boot Camp Graduate and I play mainly home and casino games. I've read a lot about PokerStars and thought I would try it myself. Boy what a surprise I got. I made my deposit and started just playing around at low limit cash games and started to see a trend of bad beats. I attributed this to bad players. Once I got familiar with the site I tried higher stakes thinking the players would be much better and for the most part they are. BUT, the bad beats were there in full swing. I won some and lost some and I hovered right around my deposit amount. When I would win one day I would lose the next. Not unusal I thought to myself so I started two SitnGo $50 games. Total cost $110 and the top 3 players would be paid $225, $135 and $90. In both games I got a pretty good stack early by a combination of some agressive betting and some bluffs. Once I got ahead I started to cruise a little and played very few hands just watching both games as they progressed. When it got close to the money (4-5 players) it really got tight agressive at both tables.
The results:
In one game I was beat by playing AK off suit against one player. The Flop game A38 rainbow. My opponent bet big after the flop so being the last to act I raised 3 times his bet which is standard. He calls. So now I have him either on a set or two pair. I am pretty much pot committed at this point and to fold would leave me severely crippled anyway. The next card is a deuce. He makes a rather small bet so I raise. He goes all-in, I call. To my utter amazement he has 10 4 off suit. He is caught bluffing big time. Well you guessed it the river was a 5 and I was out in 4th place. I try to get the Sucker to talk to me but no response in the chat window. I wasn't being abusive just trying to get a response.
Now remember I have two games going. The second game I was also doing pretty well. I played about 15% of the hands and built up a decent stack but not the chip leader. With 5 of us left I get AJ hearts suited in the small blind. Two limpers behind me so I raise 5 times the big blind to get the big blind to fold and he does. One of the limper fold and one calls. The flop comes and there are two hearts 76 and an A. My opponent makes a pretty good bet but nothing outrageous so I figure I have about a 35% chance of hitting the nut flush so I raise knowing I have the Aces as backup. The other guy goes all in and I call. He turns over a pair of 9s. Is this guy nuts or what I think. I show my AJh and the turn is 9h I hit my nut flush. I am golden I think Well you guessed it the river is a 9 so he hits quads and I am gone. Again I try to chat and I do get some responses from the other players but not the river rat. Again not being abusive or mad just asking how he could call with a pair of 9s and so forth.
What did I get from this and the other $25 bucks I lost playing cash games? This site seems fixed to me. They seem to be using software controlled players which of course knows the outcome of a hand before it is played. Now most will say I just experience two bad beats in a row and it is not typical. Well by all the complaints I see in chat boards about on line poker in general I trulty believe it is fixed. I may play some free games on these sites now but I will not make any deposits with them ever again.
