3stars  DO NOT USE THE VENETIAN CASINO LADIES ROOMS/YOU COULD BE ASSAULTED!!
PLEASE BE CAREFUL...

BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL IF YOU EVER VISIT THE CASINO AT THE VENETIAN -- AND ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE OFFERED "FREE" COCKTAILS...

IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE WINNING -- YOU MAY RUN THE RISK OF BEING "OVERSERVED" AT THE VENTIAN -- AND "IF" YOU HAPPEN TO BECOME VERY ILL AS A RESULT -- YOU WILL NOT BE OFFERED MEDICAL ASSISTANCE -- (EVEN AS A GUEST OF THEIR HOTEL) -- YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO A CITIZEN'S ARREST BY THEIR MALE/FEMALE "ARMY" OF VENETIAN SECURITY GUARDS...

RIGHT THERE IN THE LADIES ROOM STALL -- YOU WILL BE TACKLED TO THE FLOOR AND YOU WILL BE ASSAULTED. YOUR PERSONAL PROPERTY WILL BE DAMAGED AND/OR STOLEN WHILE YOU ARE KEPT IN A PLACE THEY AFFECTIONATELY CALL THEIR "HOLE."

IT HAPPENS... IT HAPPENS BECAUSE OF SOMETHING AT THE VENETIAN THEY CALL "RISK MANAGEMENT" -- ESPECIALLY AFTER THEY HEAR YOU CALLING YOUR ATTORNEY (WHILE YOU ARE SITTING ON THE FLOOR OF THE LADIES ROOM STALL) AND ASK YOUR COUNSEL TO SUMMON THE LAS VEGAS METROPLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT -- (AND ASK THAT THOSE OFFICERS PLEASE BRING A "BREATHALYZER" -- IN ORDER TO HELP DETERMINE WHY, AS A GUEST, YOU HAVE SUDDENLY BECOME SO VIOLENTLY ILL! WAS THERE SOMETHING ELSE IN YOUR COCKTAIL?)

THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE... ELDERS AND RETIREES PLEASE BEWARE!!! IF YOU ARE ARRESTED IN THE LADIES ROOM OF THE VENETIAN, THEY WILL THAN INSIST THAT YOU BE TAKEN TO THE CLARK COUNTY DETENTION CENTER BY THE LAS VEGAS POLICE...

YOU WILL THEN BE FURTHER ASSAULTED, AND YOUR PROPERTY WILL BE FURTHER DAMAGED AND/OR STOLEN. YOU WILL BE SUBJECTED TO BOTH VERBAL AND PHYSCIAL ABUSE BY THE FINEST OF LAS VEGAS POLICE OFFICERS (BOTH MALE AND FEMALE).

YOU WILL BE KEPT IN THIS "FILTHY" FACILITY -- WHERE THE LADIES ROOM DOES NOT HAVE SOAP OR HAND TOWELS -- AND WHERE INMATES LITERALLY MOP THE FLOORS WITH BLACK WATER.

YOU WILL ALSO BE ASKED TO SIGN DOCUMENTS THAT YOU CANNOT SEE TO READ (AND THEY WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO USE YOUR BIFOCALS TO DO SO) -- AND AFTER YOUR RELEASE YOU WILL BE DENIED ACCESS TO ALL DOCUMENTS THAT WERE PRESENTED FOR YOUR SIGNATURE -- INCLUDING THOSE RELATED TO YOUR MEDICAL CONDITION DURING YOUR DETENTION.

ALL DETAINEES FACE BEING RIDICULED AND ROBBED BY MEMBERS OF THE LAS VEGAS METROPLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT -- AND DON'T BOTHER FILING A REPORT WITH INTERNAL AFFAIRS... THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN DOCUMENTING YOUR INJURIES -- OR THE DAMAGE OF THEFT OF YOUR PERSONAL PROPERTY -- AS THIS SORT OF CONDUCT IS STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE...

IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE 40 MILLION TOURISTS TO VISIT LAS VEGAS ANNUALLY -- REST ASSURED THAT SOME OF "THE WORKING GIRLS" -- (WHO DON'T MIND BEING CALLED "HOOKERS") -- ARE ALSO ROBBED BY OFFICERS OF THE L.V.M.P.D. -- AND ARE ALSO THREATENED TO HAVE THEIR FACES "SMASHED IN" -- JUST LIKE YOU MIGHT BE... IF YOU ARE "ALLEGED" TO HAVE COMMITTED A "MISDEMEANOR."

A WORD TO THE WISE... IF THIS SORT OF THING IS HAPPENING AT THE VENETIAN -- IT MIGHT BE HAPPENING ELSEWHERE...

BE CAREFUL... BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL IF YOU ARE APPROACHED BY A SECURITY GUARD IN A LADIES ROOM AT THE VENETIAN (ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE FIVE OF THEIR VOUCHERS IN YOUR PURSE! YOU MAY BE ASKED BY THE L.V.M.P.D. TO SIGN A DOCUMENT THAT SAYS THEY DO NOT EXIST!)

A WORD TO THE WISE SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT... IT'S ALL ABOUT THE $$ -- THEIR $$ -- AND THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO LEAVE WITH ANY OF IT!!! THAT INCLUDES THOSE WHO ARE CHARGED WITH THE DUTY TO PROTECT YOU FROM BEING ROBBED (AS APPARENTLY THEY DO NOT FEEL THEY ARE BEING PAID WELL ENOUGH BY THE TAXPAYERS?)

It appears that what happens in Las Vegas should NOT "stay in Las Vegas"?

Shame on ALL those who take advantage of visitors to Nevada... Someone needs to teach these young security guards and police officers some respect for their elders -- and for the rule of law which provides that you ARE "innocent" until proven guilty...

Visitors should be encouraged to drop by The Justice Center to see for themselves what is REALLY going on in Las Vegas -- and the $$ machine that Clark County appears to be operating...

The lobby is impressive. Rooms are big, as advertised. Nice European flavor and great dining opportunities.

  Valet Parking Personnel are Pricks
I dropped of several guests at this hotel. This is not the first time I would do so. I have dropped guests off at The Bellagio, The Wynn, Paris, Bally's, Flamingo, The Mirage and the Imperial Palace. However, this is the first time that valet parking personnel (those pricks in white and red striped shirts and black shorts who seem to think they own the hotel) insulted me just because I passed through registration without having valeted my vehicle and just because I am a not white. Instead of helping motorists pass through without difficulty, these valet personnel hurled insults at my person and told not to come back. I felt so humiliated. I did not even do anything wrong to deserve such insults. The Venetial should teach hotel personnel how to treat people well. I guess they just hire anyone these days. I am a very patient person but well, I will never, never have guests stay at this hotel ever again.

  My Venetian Nightmare
The only place I experienced the "luxury" rating was in the price tag. I sincerely regret not having read some reviews before I went. I reserved a suite for one week but, wound up checking out early because of the dismal experience. Two weeks later, the Venetian still hadn't refunded my credit card. I had to call to request a refund at which point the accounts receivable person told me that "everything I have shows you were here" and basically called me a liar. Not until I faxed him a note on my law firm letterhead and a copy of the reciept I received at checkout did he refund me for the nights I was charged for after I'd checked out. On 3 of 4 nights, I had to call housekeeping to "ask" that my suite be cleaned after returning in the evening to find that it hadn't been. I ordered a cup of clam chowder from room service and paid $12 plus tip. The soup was fresh from the can and to add insult injury the waiter claimed not to have exact change and promised to return to the room with it but, never did. We're only talking a dollar here but, we'd already tipped the guy. The nerve!!! Every staff person I encountered with the exception of the front doormen could be rated on a scale of indifferent to downright rude. The desk person who checked us out seemed genuinely sympathetic and offered an apology and nothing more for our troubles. I would NEVER stay at the Venetian again. They couldn't pay me to! This place is truly awful. I've received better service and consideration at budget hotels. Save your money and your vacation and don't stay at the Venetian. The gondoliers are novel but, like everything else at the Venetian, they'll cost you. I'd advise you to stay elsewhere and visit the Grand Canal shops where you can watch the gondolas for free.

Awful, Awful, Awful, the Venetian Hotel is just Awful. At check in they had me at a higher rate. When I disputed showing them the paperwork I had, they reluctantly gave me my rate. At 1:00 AM the first night for some reason Housekeeping entered my room and woke me up. When I call the front desk they argued with me that I must have ordered something. At 3:30 Am that night a loud speaker sounded in my room testing the safty alarms. The place is dirty and the carpets are stained. The toilet paper holder fell off the wall. I get the feeling that at every turn the Venetian is trying to get an extra buck from you. I go to Vegas about five times a year. There are so many great hotels. Why would anyone bother with the Venetian.

I am NOT the type that normally responds to public sites such as this one, especially when it comes to expressing personal opinions but, after just experiencing a top notch stay at the Venetian, I feel I must express my opinion here. Recommended for anyone who enjoys a touch of class, top notch location, excellent service and wonderful amenities.

This hotel is not for "middle America", blue-collar, loud mouth know-nothings. This hotel is for people who actually have a touch of intelligence and understand that the hotel is not responsible for your person winning or losing at the slots or tables. That's why it's called gambling.

So unless you've actually stayed here and not just wandered through and left your stupid Big Glup in a public area to get it all sticky, then scream at your child running off with his or her stroller in hand (slamming into people without so much as an "I'm sorry" from you or your fat, thick, eye glass wearing wife or girlfriend, )people like you don't seem to marry anyhow, you just have kids out of wedlock like the hillbillies you are)....keep your opinions to yourselves.

This hotel is the worst in Las Vegas, the room had burns in the carpet, when I went to the bathroom, the door handle came off in my hand. There were no reservations available for dinner, and the staff could have cared less, my wife and I were forced to eat in the coffee shop for dinner, with a bill of fifty dollars for sandwitches. The true rub was the dollar charge on the room bill for a fax the hotel sent welcomeing me! Let's see four thousand roooms, thats easy money. After one night we checked out and went else where, when I talked to the management about my concerns I got the easy, sorry, with little careing. I would never go back, waste of money.

We were looking for a place to stay for our 15th wedding anniversary and heard about this hotel and thought we would try it. We stayed at other hotels before, and this place is not as clean or good service as the Bellagio, MGM, Caesars or New York, New York. We liked watching the gondoliers for the first few minutes. The casino was ok. This place is kind of way too far compared to the rest of the newer casinos. The best part of the strip is anywhere between Bellagio and New York, New York. I would try another hotel next time.

I drive to Vegas six times a year and this time I stayed at the Venetian on June 26-28th. I did not valet park my car this stay. The Jaguar emblem was stolen from the hood of my car in the parking garage. The theives also scratched the paint when they pried the emblem off the hood. The Venetian said they are not responsible for anything that happens to a vehicle even though the garage is on their property. Even with all the cameras and security driving around this still happened to my car. Everyone should be aware that the Venetian will do nothing to pay for damage to your vehicle.

I didnt stay here but Im sure glad I didnt. Its WAY OVERPRICED & the casino is just so-so. The gift shops are far to pricey for same stuff you can buy downtown. Its a damn shame The Sands was imploded to build this ugly monster. You dont get the feal of Las Vegas here.
