I have never been treated so poorly as I was at the Atlantis Casino. A female black jack dealer was completely rude to me, unprovoked. She was so rude that the other people at the table were asking her what the problem was. Her response was that I didn't have to play at her table. Wow, what hospitality! I mentioned this experience to the pit boss, and I also sent a letter to the hotel. Nothing was done... Do not expect friendly people at this hotel!

I took a bunch of residents from my assisted living facility here for the day. The people were so rude to them, they made us drop them off in a garage, drop the bus off 10 min away, pay $35 to park it, and get a cab to come back for it. The people in bus relations were so nasty and rude, Jasmine, Drew and the manager with the terrible toupee to be exact. They harrassed me and the residents telling us we didn't stay long enough, we got there at 10 and left at 4 pm. They told us not to come back because we were not staying 5 hours which we did after they gave them $5 to play with. They wanted us to pay the $5 each back, and tried to keep us from going. They tried to block us in there and even told an officer outside near the garage, who by the way told them they were acting ridiculous. Won't suggest this place to anyone, not to mention it's not very handicapped accessible.

My husband and I got married at the trop 4 years ago. We are going on our 8th trip in July. We would not stay anywhere else. I love the casino. We pretty much know the dealers now, but I love the size. There is no other casino on the strip that you can go into and go your seperate ways and still find the other person. It's awesome. We have stayed in a suite in the back tower, suite in the front tower, and regular rooms in both towers. Not a single complaint. The staff, check in, restaraunts, everything is wonderful. We love Mezuno's Steak House. I would recomend it to anyone. Especially the fried rice. We are disappointed that someone bought it out. Hopefully they will still make it a friendly hotel and casino, and not some huge place where you are a number.

I love the luxurious layout of the suites and the good food at the Zanzibar Cafe located on the casino level; My wife and I have stayed there several times over the last three years. Unfortunately there are thieves within their housekeeping staff. As a convenience measure I always pack away our clothing back into our luggage whether it be fresh or worn. We stayed there over the 2006 Easter weekend for 2 nights, therefore housekeeping had to freshen up our suite only once for an easy $5 tip. My wife had her $300US Victoria's Secret outfit removed from our luggage the day before our scheduled checkout. On the day we did check out, I turned the suite upside down to make sure that we left nothing behind, my wife did the same and just before we left the suite I checked every cabinet, drawer, behind the couch and tv stand, under the bed, sifted through the towels we used, the water closet, the clothing closet, shower, under the sink, sifted through the bedsheets and even under the bed; ther was nothing left behind. We left for Reno and arrived by evening and stayed at the Nugget. The following morning my wife decided to wear her Victoria's Secret outfit again so I reached into our luggage and realized that the outfit was not there. It had been 2 days since I packed that outfit into our luggaged and I assumed that it was still there. I called Aladdin housekepping and left a messsage but no reply, I then called Security who listened to my plight and tranferred me to Lost and Found to determine if it was found in the suite that we stayed in before filing a report. The CSR at Lost and Found who took my call informed me that my wife's oufit was indeed found in the suite after our checkout and will be shipped back to us at their expense; but he refused to tell me where in the suite the items of clothing were found and who turned them in. As a side note, we stayed at the Paris Hotel next door for 3 nights prior to checking in at the Aladdin and the housekeeping staff courteously left a note/flyer identifying the housekkeper who will be servicing my suite on a daily basis. Both my wife and I were baffled by the fact that housekeeping had found the clothing items in the suite when we made sure that we didn't leave anything behind by turning the suite upside down 3 times! Unsatisfied with the possibility of us being so stupid as to not finding these items in the suite with our diligent sweep of the suite, I called the hotel again to speak with security. I called the main tel#702-785-5555 and the csr who answered my call adamantly demanded that I identify myself which I did (I guess she caller ID) and the called was answered by a male csr who answered by simply saying " security". This csr refused to identify himself and proceeded to take my complaint as explained earlier. Then he said to call back letter to get the file# for the complaint. I persistenly demanded that the security csr identify himself but he refused to do so and assured me that the complaint will be filed. I then called housekeeping and the csr who answered also adamantly demanded that I identify myself before tranferring my call to housekeeping management's voicemail, Cheryl Pectec, where I left a message; (I left several more messages over the course of 2 days, none of which were returned; I found out later on the 3rd day that none of my messages were received by Cheryl... hmmm, obviously the messages were intercepted and deleted). Unsatisfied with the result, I called Security again 2 hours later and spoke to a Security csr who immediately identified himself prior to listening to my plight and informed me that there was no record of my complaint being logged. The securiy csr also informed me that all personel who answer customer calls are required to ID themselves before proceeding with the call. Regardless of the horrendous long distance bill I incurred on my cell phone bill while trying to rectify the situation, the Security csr informed me that since the items were turned into lost and found there was no cause for their Security department to pursue the matter further, no complaint will be logged and there will be no investigation. I do recall "Google"ing the Aladdin Casino Hotel 3 months prior to our trip to las vegas and came across a personal blog of a housekeeper working at the Aladdin in Las Vegas bragging about how she could steal clothing from clients staying the hotel and how no could ever catch her as long as she has conspirators within the housekeeping staff, reception staff and the lost and found; and if the complainant is as persistent as I was, she simply returns the items of clothing to her accomplices in lost and found and no one will be the wiser . The Aladdin is a beautiful hotel and their suites are luxurious but watch out for some of the crooked staff; utilize the in-suite safes, pack away everything and lock it up wiht a good padlock before journeying into the casino's or shopping malls; you may end up with less clothing than than you arrived with. Love the hotel, Hate housekeeping (should be called housetaking).

The Stratosphere hotel ruined our Las Vegas trip in so many ways. My wife and I had booked and planned our trip 5 months in advance, with the primary focus on seeing Barry Manilow at the Hilton (my wife is a HUGE fan and the reason we waited 5 months was so that I could get her the best seats, which turned out to be 2nd row center). Needless to say she was as excited as a little child on Christmas morning during the 5 month waiting time! Now, let me break down this horrible place by category for easier reading...
CHECK IN PROCESS - We arrived at the Stratosphere hotel on Thursday afternoon and we had to wait 40 MINUTES in line at the registration desk due to the fact that they had only 3 clerks, and what made things worse was they would help anyone who just walked up and skipped the line. After about 10 minutes I was fuming and decided to just walk up myself, and was promptly told to get back in line since I wasn't checking out or switching rooms, or that I wasn't a gold card member of the hotel. Finally got to the clerk after all that time and asked why it took almost as long to stand in line for check-in as it took to fly down from Washington State! All I got was a smile... no apology or even a caring look.
THE ROOM - I had anticipated a small room with the package I booked so I called in advance to upgrade to a larger room, that according to the hotel web-site had a minibar, room safe and a coffee maker. This room was not only a dump with a view of the parking garage across the street, it didn't have the above mentioned items. I called the front desk to inquire about this and was again promptly and rather shortly told that only the suites had these items in them, and "if" she could find one available it would cost an additional $275!!!! I just hung up in disbelief, I mean come on folks... we're not rich and snobby people, but at least a coffee maker would be nice to have, right?
FOOD POISONING - Friday night we ordered a sample appetizer plate from room service that contained 2 chicken wings, 2 chicken tenders and a couple quesadilla's. My wife ate the wings and we shared the rest. Within 2 hours she became VIOLENTLY ILL and was up all night and into the next day vomiting, in obvious pain and discomfort. She was only able to get out of bed all day on Saturday to use the bathroom. Very typical signs of food poisoning.
OTHER CASES - At the airport returning home, I mentioned this to the ticket gal at the gate and asked if my wife could get her seat early so she could sit and rest while the other passengers boarded - and she told me she'd heard of MULTIPLE cases of food poisoning from the Stratosphere, and that we should contact them and let them know they have yet another case.
FOLLOW-UP - When we returned home on Sunday my wife saw her doctor the next day and he confirmed it was indeed food poisoning.
BARRY MANILOW - Of course we missed the show, the whole reason we were in Vegas to begin with. She was devastated, to say the least.
HOTEL STAFF - Other than a couple bartenders and waitresses, they were all very indifferent to us - almost to the point of being rude. Like I said before, we're not old, rich or snobby people - we're just a couple of regular folks in our 40's who like to have fun, a few drinks, dance a little and gamble. The dealers at the tables seemed like zombies to me, no personalities and all of them acted like they totally didn't want to be there. Of course, with this hotel I can see why... they probably treat the employees like the guests.
Folks.... there's no reason on earth to stay or play at this place. They all could care less if you do and they act like it. Vegas is a wonderful town and there are many great hotels that's worth the prices they charge! Either that, or stay at a Motel 6 while you're there... at least you'll have hot coffee in your room in the morning.
My wife and I have stayed at the riviera every May for 6 years {will be there first week of May for our seventh} and we enjoy every minute at the Riv. Shows ane restaurants are great! We also like the calmer end of the strip!

PS,
Ive played on PS for 3 years a lot of bad beats and ive dealt a lot of bad beats. Think about how many hands you see compared to other sites and tourneys. Pokerstars has a lot of big tourneys where you a see very many hands you have to expect to get rivered. With an average of at least 1500 people in every tourney your going to see a lot of bad beats....

This place is just, plain tired. Stayed here one night at the end of my honeymoon after 5 nights at MGM. The room (a jacuzzi room) was just tired looking, with a large stain on the carpet and a bed that had seen much better days. The jacuzzi was nice, overlooking the strip, but the damn window was so tiny, you had to stretch your head to see anything. Overall, this place is in dire need of a facelift. Sorry, but it's true. The staff was accommodating and friendly and I had no issues with them, but this place is exhausted... the hallways are dark, the rooms are dreary and the elevators were dirty. Frankly, I expect better and it's difficult to believe that this is owned by the same company that owns Mandalay Bay and Luxor. Time to move a little money north on the strip and fix this sleeping giant.

Recently remarried and spent my honeymoon at the MGM (with one rather unfortunate night at Excalibur, also). Stayed in the newly renovated West Wing, which is the old Emerald Tower updated. Here's a brief overview:
Pluses: The king bed was extraordinary, extremely comfortable, so much so it was difficult to get out of it (insert your own honeymoon joke here). The shower was marvelous, also. It's huge with a hand wand in addition to the large, powerful spray from the wall. Frankly, I could have spent more time in here and been very happy. Other good things: huge nightstands that accommodate a lot of things, a huge lighted closet and a neat little plasma TV tucked into the mirror of the bathroom.
Minuses: There is absolutely no counter space in the bathroom. They've put in a series of shelves to the floor, but it's simply not enough. The toilet is its own tiny glass room, which made both of us feel like we were in a public bathroom. And the room is very dark, with one window that is covered; ours overlooked a courtyard area.
Overall: It's nice, we'd probably stay here again, largely because the bed and the shower made up for the other things. Frankly, when we're in Vegas, most of what we do in the room revolves around the bed and the shower anyway, so why not? This is a non-traditional, "modern" room. If that doesn't appeal to you, stay away.
The MGM continues to be a good value, in my opinion. The staff is courteous and I've never had an issue with not getting what I'd reserved or requested. I'm by no means a high roller, but I'm comfortable here. This was my wife's first visit to the MGM and she was impressed. They've updated the casino quite a bit since I was here in 2004, adding a new bar and poker area and completely updating the sportsbook. Keno has somehow disappeared; not sure why. There's a great new restaurant called "Diego" that should be tried. Really great Mexican food.

I believe this site is "fixed" not just because I lost $, but I know alot of people that believe that every hand in cash games has a winning hand and a "suck out" hand. There are "hot" seats, meaning you cards constantly hit. It is rediculas. This is probably that best looking and performing site, you would think it would be honest. However it is the most unrealalistic out there.
Worst hand prior to flop wins 60-70% of the time, it's just not right.
I will say that I also have heard from a very few, that they make money consistantly on this site, but they too agree the site shows favortism to certain seats/hands.
