Cheap Hotels in Vegas over Christmas

Looking for entertainment over the Christmas Holiday? Las Vegas has traditionally low volumes of visitors during Christmas and just before the New Year festivities.

You can stay at a great hotel, like the Luxor, for just $115. That rate will jump to $380 on New Year's Eve.

Or stay at the Mandalay Bay for just $119. That rate will also jump to $390 on New Year's Eve.

Harrah's OK to buy Imperial Palace

On Wednesday this week, the Nevada State Gaming Control Board okayed Harrah's plans to buy the Imperial Palace Hotel Casino on the Las Vegas strip.

The cost of the deal is $370 million. Harrah's is the world's largest gaming company.

This should be a great thing for the strip, as the IP has not been a great attraction on the strip in recent years.
