I had the worst experience I have ever had in Caesar's Palace last week. I really can't believe we're talking about the same hotel. I am a business traveler and they put me in a room directly above Cleopatra's Barge, so I had loud rock music blaring until the wee hours. When I called to let them know about this, they actually downgraded me to a much smaller and fairly crappy room! I guess I should have kept quiet. But wait, it gets worse! Not only is the Casino a total money pit. (I should have known better than to gamble there)
but, when I was moving out, in the short period it took me to take the first load of luggage to my car (I had a lot of stuff, as I stayed there for 9 days), the maid let herself into my locked room and very quickly disposed of the remaing items. One was a coffee maker and the other was misc. items in an Armani bag. She had to have rushed these items to the trash chute! The really amazing part of this debacle, was how casually the incident was handled by Hotel staff! It was very clear that no-one cared. I eventually retrieved most of my belongings, but it was only because I was relentless. The Mesa Grille, on the other hand was excellent. Fabulous, really. Next time (and I travel to Vegas a lot) I will stay at another property and visit Caesar's only to dine at Mesa Grille.
