You may have read some of the contraversy going on at the Borgata. Those waitresses can't gain weight without risking their jobs.
From my perspective, this policy is just fine. The business works because they attract clients. Part of attracting clients is having attractive waitresses and bartenders. The Borgata is not being unfair - they are applying this policy evenly across the board. Whats the gripe?
Hooters certainly wants to have a certain physical appearance in their employees. Why shouldn't casinos be allowed to do the same?
I think this is a smart idea. Hasn't anyone noticed that most women in New Jersey are quite ugly? I guess they figure if they have attractive women, they need to do all they can to keep them!
